In my free time, I enjoy running, and my big goal for 2026 is to complete a half marathon. I also love knitting, and at the moment I’m keeping cosy by knitting while re‑watching One Tree Hill. At the weekends, I like going on country walks or searching for cool finds in charity shops.

In my job, I study information (data) from tests of new medicines. I look at numbers and graphs to see how somebody reacts to taking the medicine. This helps scientists understand if the drug is safe and how well it works. It’s a bit like doing a science experiment, but with real data from real people.
-
My Typical Day:
I start work at about 8am. I spend my day doing statistical analysis and discussing results with my colleagues. I finish work at 4.30pm.

On most days, I work from home, but I go into the office about twice a week – and I usually cycle there! My main job is to do statistical analyses, I do this on the computer using a coding program called SAS. Sometimes I write reports to explain what the numbers show. I also talk to scientists so we can understand the results together and decide what they mean for the medicine we’re studying.
